Privacy & your choices
Local checks.
Clear choices.
This policy explains the current Computer Shield app, its optional Browser connection, and the services you choose to use.
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Local monitoring data
Shield processes the device information needed for the monitoring you enable: process identities and executable paths, connection destinations, selected-folder file-change metadata, fullscreen-window state and remote-access observations. Incident records, settings, pairing records and bounded logs are stored in the app’s local Windows data folder. They are not automatically uploaded by Shield.
Fullscreen content checks can sample visible text and, when available, use Windows OCR. Text and images are transient and are not placed in Shield’s incident records or logs. Shield does not monitor or read clipboard contents. Selecting Copy code writes only the pairing code to the clipboard.
Browser connection
Pairing with ArRENCE Browser is an explicit choice. The apps verify the connection locally. Browser sends limited warning-signal flags, opaque tab/document identifiers and window identity. Page text, screenshots, URLs, titles, form fields and browsing history are not sent to Shield. Private-session checks are separately opt-in in Browser. Disable observations or disconnect in Browser settings; Shield’s connection panel also offers Disconnect.
Encrypted file vault
Files you explicitly quarantine are encrypted using the current Windows user’s data-protection credentials. Local metadata includes file paths, sizes, timestamps and hashes so that recovery can be verified. Recovery depends on the original Windows user profile/credentials. Restore or export needed files before an app reset or uninstall, which can remove local package data.
Optional online services
Reputation-feed downloads are off by default. If enabled, the provider receives connection metadata, such as your IP address, when Shield downloads updates. The request does not upload your local incident log or files.
Ask ArRENCE AI for Help opens the external ArRENCE service only when selected. Shield does not attach incident content to that link. Anything you type or share with that service is covered by its own policy. The Browser privacy statement describes its separate optional AI features.
This website, Microsoft Store and support
This website uses local assets and does not include analytics trackers or advertising scripts. The hosting server may keep ordinary request/error logs, including IP addresses and requested pages. Microsoft Store and other linked services handle their own data under their own policies.
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send so we can respond. Share only what is needed for the issue; avoid passwords, pairing codes and private files.
Your controls
Use Shield Settings to choose collectors, monitored folders, visible-text/OCR checks and reputation downloads. Review or delete records using the app’s available controls, and exit Shield from its tray menu to stop monitoring. For questions about information you have sent us, or requests to access, correct or delete it, contact the developer.
